Another year.
It has been a good one, I think.
I just don’t feel much like contemplation this evening.
I spoke to a thirteen year old today about the passage of time.
“It seems like it was just 2010,” he said, “and we were saying, like Wow! Double digits! And now it’s gonna be 2015 already!”
“The years fly by,” was my contribution to the discussion.
“I know! Seems like I was just in sixth grade…now I’m in eighth grade!”
Yeah.
Seems like I was just in sixth grade, too.
And here we are. Still counting the years as they zip past.
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year dear Cindy…let’s take that joy from sixth grade into this one with us!
Happy New Year to you, too, Joss! That’s a grand plan for happiness, living with a child’s wonderment at life!
You were just in sixth grade. Me too.
Oh, good, then it’s not just my imagination! Happy New Year to you!
Happy New Year, Cindy.
Happy New Year to you, too, Gretchen! What a pleasure it is to know you!
Happy New Year! 2015 is going to be a big one for me as I could be retiring from the day job this year. Except it doesn’t seem like just yesterday since I started it. In this circumstance I’m glad the time has passed. Looking forward to another year of reading your lovely posts and keeping up with life on Beaver Island!
Happy New Year to you, too, Sara! I have so enjoyed your reports from your world…they rarely involve your “day job” so it’s easy to think of you living a life that transcends all of that. I’m sure it doesn’t seem like that to you, in the day-to-day of it. So glad retirement is coming right up for you!
